>The report going together with my last column on www.fashionscene.nl! For Dutch, click here. For English, read down under.

Honestly; I have been doubting whether I would be more bright to stay at home last Sunday together with my study books, but fortunately I decided I couldn’t miss the Glamour Detox your Wardrobe spectacle! How I enjoyed the beautiful clothes, people and good atmosphere!

The opening at 12 o’clock started very well with Quintis Ristie of ‘Raymann is laat’. Before I noticed I was put in front of the camera and got quasi nonchalant interviewed. Of course right at this moment my creativity was leaving me…

When I could finally could upstairs to admire all our old wardrobes, I was totally happy. With the company of a nice ‘Glamour beat’ it was definitely ‘the first was is the lucky one’. Unfortunately there were more people that for example found the shoe table.

All clothes were -just not for long- neatly divided in themes. Each rack had its own theme. There was for example the chic ‘Dressed up’ and the colourful ‘New wave’.

I often saw passing someone which made me very greedy, but went home at the end with a few beautiful more basic items myself. Ex-Fashionscener Juul was scoring the most great jacket of the collection maybe; a sequinjacket of Armani, which was originally from Linda de Mol. Not only Linda had detoxed her wardrobe, but for example Anouk, Daphne Deckers and Danie Bles as well. I spotted Anouks shirt (worn at a Glamour shoot), Daphne Deckers dress (Alexander McQueen) and Danie Bles’ gilet (from her own ‘By Danie’ collection).

Talking about well-known Dutchmen: a lot were there to witness the day themselves. Front row at the fashion show at half past 2 I spotted for example Sylvana Simons, Jan Taminiau and Ilja Visser. Bastiaan van Schaik was later and Patricia Paay (in real life as beautiful as on television) was completely fashionably late. At the fashion show itself there were well-known people contributing as well; Lieke van Lexmond (with Mark van Eeuwen at the 3rd floor, but not unnoticed by my camera), Quinty Trustfull, Kassandra, Suzanne de Jong and Irene van de Laar. Fiona Hering was presenting the show, but earlier I took my chance and asked her for a snapshot!

The fashion show itself was very nice because of the variation of ‘real’ models and well-known Dutchmen who presented the items for the auction. Of course for the occasion there was a pink ‘red’ carpet. After the fashion show, the auction followed up, which was very professional with an auctioneer and notary. From all sides people put up there pink Glamour flag as sign of bid. The notary was laying contact with his daughter about some items and was Suzanne de Jong bidding for her ‘own’ G-Star dress. She was very preserving and at the end was allowed to take it home for 1300 Euro; the smash of the auction! Other designers that were contributing to the auction were Lew (picture), Mart Visser and Mattijs van Bergen for example. Sylvana went  home with even three pieces of the auction: ‘Everything for Orange Babies’, she told afterwards to Glamour’s editor in chief Karin Swerink.

The whole day there were editors of Glamour walking in a shirt with the slogan of Glamour’s March issue: ‘It’s the inside that counts’. Besides the girls of Orange Babies were wearing a black shirt with the text ‘Orange babe’ and was the whole front row wearing an orange ribbon. They made us realise why we were in the Bijenkorf Sunday as wéll.

The goal of funding money wasn’t forgotten fortunately: there is almost 22 Euro available now for Orange Babies. Next year I’ll leave my study books as well; up to Glamour Detox your Wardrobe 2011!
