>… after part 2 comes part 3! It’s time for more answers to your questions.
What do you think is your biggest fashion fail (in combining clothes)?
I don’t think in terms of fails, when it comes to my outfits. I like an outfit, or I don’t like it, or somewhere in between. The standard is that I don’t like an outfit anymore when it is about half a year old or older. My style changes a lot, and I am still improving my style a lot. That means I just ‘outgrow’ outfits easily.
I am guessing you want to see some worst-case-dressing-up-scenario’s here. Well, I can provide them for you. Just click here and see the start of my blog. Quite embarrassing, but I think I’d belie my own nature if I’d remove these posts. You should know I just turned 15 there, never saw a blog before, with no idea what the ‘meaning’ of blogging actually was. I just wanted to share my (I thought were pretty) outfits. Can’t believe that person was me actually, I think this naïve (I still am a little though) girl is so cute.
Actually, seeing what I grew and reached in two and a half years makes me very, very proud.
Do you have a tattoo?
Yes, since last February. I shared the what, why and where with you already; you can read that blogpost here. However, because of the place of my tattoo it removes easily unfortunately and I need to redo it for the second time again soon – after the first time in April.
What’s the favourite outfit you ever made?
Told this one before already, but it’s this one. I think it is so cute and I felt so feminine wearing this. Though I am not even such a big fan of polka dots in general. Something else: I feel like I have changed so much since this photo. That is just three months ago! Is is just me, or do you recognize the same?
Do you follow a lot of other blogs?
Yes, a lót. Hundreds. It is hard to catch up on them all, but I am trying! My favourite fashion blogs can be found in this list (keep in mind this list is dated, and needs to be updated!), but I love to read beauty blogs too.
How did you look when you were around 11/12 years?
I am saving this question for a little while! Namely, I received the How much I’ve changed-tag a while ago, and I am planning on fulfilling it soon. There you’ll see (next to the link in the first picture, I was already 15 there though) how I looked when I was younger. You will have a good laugh. I will, haha!
Who is your example/inspiration?
When it comes to fashion? Or in general? I don’t really have, to be honest. A person who is disliked by a lot of people, but who’s style I think is actually pretty cool is Fergie. I can identiy with her a lot. She can look really bad and really bad; I feel like a kind of the same counts for me. Besides I love the diversity of her style, which I recognize with myself too. Her style ‘an sich’ isn’t really like mine though (most of the time).
I guess I just gave the wrong answer, as googling her pictures almost only brings me lingerie haha.
Do you still crave for a certain style, or do you feel like you’ve found your style already and are just busy improving it?
I definitely don’t feel like I have found my style already. However, I am really happy about the fact I don’t like every single piece of clothing any more (I used to). This makes my style a lot more ‘bordered’, and it gives me structure. I have become much more critical than I used to be (when it comes to clothes), and that gives me rest. However, though I have always been thinking “I would reach my ultimate me-style” some day, I don’t believe in it any more. I am a craving, searching, and divers person when it comes to clothing, looks and style and I am in peace with it – and even going to like it- more and more.
Which not that well known Dutch/Belgian fashion bloggers would you like to shine here?
Though I am sure I’ll forget blogs, here is a little list. What is ‘not that well known’? I don’t want people to feel awkward because they’re in this list, so keep in mind my intentions are good. I am stating blogs that are Dutch/Belgian (may not be written in Dutch though)// fashion // I like and aren’t that, that, that well known, but may be quite well known though.
There we go:
Give live love life // I write fashion // Jardin de la mode // JFD // La mode-rétro // Lisa Rosalie // Mejuffrouw Ekster // My own vogue world // renéesturme/blog // Shout-out to you // Sisters & sisters // Styles by Jules // Tesscious // The Styling Dutchman // Toothfairy, a fashion tale // Cocorosa (really well known, but sometimes I do get the feeling she doesn’t get the attention she deserves though) // C’est la Xavie // hold your breath // Noukster in the city // Style remains // Fashionable and me // Two peas in a pod/vinnie in furs // your name is my password. // Concept of infinity // Cate B. // Connecting to fashion server // Fashion fifth // Fashionable pris // Fashion insanity
What’s your favourite piece of jewellery?
My H&M necklace. I love the colour, I love the shape, and it is so versatile!
What are your three biggest fail buys?
I don’t have, and if I had them I don’t remember haha. There are pieces which I didn’t wear as much as I would have expected, or which didn’t wear wear as good as expected. In that case they’re passed on to my sister or sold. I am kind of used to wearing some pieces just a few times, as I like to ‘exchange’ my closet a lot. I am more and more wearing pieces more than several times though (did you notice?).
The question ‘why the hell did I buy this?’ has never popped into my mind. Only when I’d see a piece for months or years later in an outfit post for example, and it’s not my style any more, I would kind of scream from embarrassment.
What’s your favourite shop?
Are you crazy? H&M of course! Think it is difficult searching for an outfit where I didn’t wear one H&M piece – so to speak.
What’s your dream/what would you like to do in the future?
Let’s be honest: it’s my dream to live from my blog. Wouldn’t that be the coolest job in the world? What I would like to do in the future, will partly be discussed in the post about what I am going to do the upcoming year (which means: as far as I precisely know).
If I’m not mistaken, I now answered all the questions you asked me for my latest Q&A. Some answers are still upcoming, but will be online soon! I am really curious what you think of my answers and if you have any more things to ask: don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments and I’ll answer them there.
Till the next Q&A (actually just till the next blog post of course!).
