>I am sharing some bits & pieces of my life with you again!
After the succes of the first edition, I decided to continue the ‘Bits & Pieces’ section. These photos and text are all about my life two weeks ago – the week of August 8. Unfortunately I hadn’t been able to post them before my laptop got problems. As most of them are quite general, I hope you enjoy anyway!
Do you recognize anything from your own life? Let me know!
… making a new video with
Vera, which you could see
here.
Wanted to show you my favourite knit: I use this oversized one on cold summer days and after work outs. It’s highly comfortable. My father brought it for me from Prague a while ago, knowing that it might be too big. It actually is a lot too big, but for relax purposes that’s just perfect.
And yes, that are my real nails, but I don’t manage to get them that long all the time (= now). I am very proud when I do though!
I made new business cards! Since I got my own domain (which is quite a while by now) I didn’t made new cards, so it was about time. I’m happy with them; they’re quite simple but give me a postive feeling. Do you like them?
It’s nice to have family around who help me look for interesting topics, articles and who come up with nice ideas. My aunt send me this fashion special, very cute!
I wanted to photograph my new dyed hair, but it went wrong and I made a self portrait. There are more than enough pictures of me here, but I wanted to show you because I think this photo shows me the natural way. Of course I’m wearing mascara and other make-up that was left after my work out (my skin is more blanc naturally), but my skin looks really pure and the colour of my eyes is exactly the colour like they are. And yes: I’m suffering from lines under my eyes for times already. I’m lacking the on-time-to-bed discipline.
… then this will be the picture like it was meant originally: my newly dyed hair. Compare this picture with the photo of my previous Bits & pieces; what a difference! I love it when my colour looks fresh, my shaven part is shorter, and my fringe is shortened again. However, my hair grows fast and the colour is leaving me with every washing session. Frustrating!
My guilty pleasure: ugly big tees as pyama’s. You need to give your fashion sense time off every now and then, right? 😉
I don’t like turquoise nail polish in the bottle. Don’t ask me why or how, but on the nails it looks much more flashy though! One of my favourite shades: H&M No Mambo Jambo.
My favourite budget butter: Kruidvat bodyfruit. It’s just gorgeous!
I made a travel stop in Utrecht, and decided it was about time to try my first Starbucks on the central station their. The price was scaring me a little, but I wanted to know myself whether it was as good as everybody thinks. I can tell you now: it is! It is just delicious, but I still think it is way too overspriced. This was my frappuchino. Tell me what I might need to try the next time!
Reading the Cosmopolitan while my boyfriend was warming up for his race that Friday night. I don’t mind waiting when I go with him, but I do mind when the weather is cold and windy, uurgh!
While reading the Cosmopolitan I found this brilliant marketing trick: get 20% off your whole lifetime at Ecko, when you tattoo their logo on your body. I só want to know who has actually done this!
And what else did we find? Bloggers in publicity, yay! Annemerel from
Annemerel.com spread a whole page with her Demak-up campaign: you go girl!
This is the day after. And then I mean: the day after playing with our kitten Arro. Oops, that hurts!
… and what more has passed my life that week?
– Meeting our cute little kitten Arro again (as the last photo shows)! It had been two weeks since I’d seen him (the time we picked him up for the first time), and I had missed him so much! I honestly didn’t know you get hooked so fast to a cat. He grows enormously!
– I had my first try on DIY ice coffee. To be honest: it was quite bad. It just tasted after cold coffee. Anyone a better recipe?
– I read my first book after I graduated. My first book after a much longer, very long time actually. However, since my laptop was ‘broken down’ those days, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to pick up some good old habits again.
– After I felt so bad about it for several weeks (what the hell to choose?), I finally ordered a new phone: the Samsung Galaxy Ace. I am not a gadget type at all, and I just wanted a functioning phone for not too much money. Prices of subscriptions (especially Internet) have increased a lot unfortunately, so it was quite a job to find something reasonable. I am using it a few days by now, and it’s definitely an improvement to my LG Cookie at least!
