>Bits & pieces of my life

Gepost in overig, persoonlijk

>As a try-out I am sharing a random week in my life with you.

On this moment, really every week is quite different, yet the same some time. I am mainly busy with my blog and finding out what my future will look like. I’ve promised you I would tell you as soon as soon as I had a planning, but that’s not the case yet – that’s something for later, for now. Hopefully this will be a fun post for you too. Please let me know if you like to see this section more often!

Started the week with reading Jackie in the sun.
– I loved the visit of the editors to the head quarters of Asos. Stunning to hear and see how (obviously) big and fashionable this company is. And how cool is it if you’re selling like an idiot, as a model? I recognized Jamie of course!
– I can’t help to always feel a bit proud when seeing a blogger in the media. Isn’t it great Ilanka calles herself blogger for profession?
– Loved the other ladies’ look!
– Júst after I decided I would give it a try on the espadrilles again (I have hated them for years actually, but now I see them more in different prints and models they look so relaxed and ‘beachy’), I read this.
I’ts been two months now since I dyed my hair. However, if you look at the picture above it looks much more to me – my hair grows quite fast! Also my fringe is in desperate need of the short cut it originally had – and what I love.
My favourite summer snack! Ice cream is just the best in the world, and an ice coffee is the best on a hot day. This fresh version from my local ice salon is so tasty! The ice cream is citron and chocolate. The perfect combination! However, just almost as good as the ‘drop’ ice cream they sell over here. It is just sometimes available, and they added it to their assortment just after I ordered. There was nothing that could break my day though, the weather on Thursday was probably the best of the year!
I think I found my alternative for Zumba in XCO. I do miss the dancing, so Zumba will stay my number one, but XCO is nice for a change as it feels like a better work-out.

Did quite some cooking last week! One of the lucky food were these Taco’s.

I loved this combination, that my boyfriend was going to wear the other day!

My favourite beauty product of the week; this bronzer. Yes, I knów: I don’t have a darker skin. I just love to wear this as a kind of blush during summer times! Creates some kind of fake healthy glow.

My sisters cupcakes with the Sunday morning breakfast. I adore the chocolate croissant!

Got quite excited when I saw Silja’s rainbow cake post, and wanted to give a try myself! This looks quite colourful and -in terms of fashion- colour blocking, right?

… unfortunately the end result was not what I expected. They turned out more moulded-looking, than actually colourful!

Quite a lot of food included, which is a coincidence actually. I just think it is great to photograph.

… and what more passed my life last week?
– I went on a hunt for a new mobile, which turned me totally frustrated. I am NO gadget person, and I hate to become one. Besides it made me very, very sad  that I need to pay so much more to do the same in the future, because a phone is quite practical to me, and not something I want to spend too much money on.
– I went to see the musical We Will Rock You, inspired by Queen. To be honest: I didn’t expect too much from it, because I am not such a big Queen fan – I always love to see musicals though. However, this one was really great again. It was quite humorous, and the music was authentic Queen music, with just a modern sauce. Besides the story was reasonably good, for a musical that’s based on music.
– Next to “Allerhande’s” recipe for Taco’s, I made schnitzels with citrons, potatoes out of the oven and vegetables, and I made “nasi’ with prawns. They both tasted really good, if you ask me. I just decided I’m not a big fan of prawns.
– I tried another fresh ice coffee over the weekend to compare with the ice coffee on the picture. The one on the picture was much better though (but two times the price of its competitor).
– I went to bed on Saturday evening feeling extremely proud, as my boy run (he’s an athlete) a PR again after years of injury and difficulties. His patience got finally rewarded.
– After having the intention for weeks, I finally woke up early enough Sunday morning to do the Sunday morning Zumba session. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to do the same yesterday.
– After having it for years, I actually cleaned my hair brush. The dear one is even a satin hair Braun brush with those special ions that I just adore! Maybe it’s discusting, maybe it’s stupid, but I never thought about it before. Serena’s article here inspired me. I am much happier brushing my hair now!
– Talking about hair: I was stunned how soft and healthy my hair was after a wash with Aussie again. If you weren’t convinced yet, please be now and try the brand a.s.a.p.!
-… and of course: working on the blog!
