>Bits & pieces of my life

Gepost in overig, persoonlijk

>Every once in a while I am showing some bits & pieces of a week in my life with you. Random things that you might or might not find interesting, but which will give you a little bit more inside in my personal life.

I’m curious whether you feel some identification; let me know!

As you might know by now, I started last week with an eye infection. Something that it later on might not have been (we’re still not sure), but at least it caused in medicins, other medicins and other medicins. I can finally say that my eyes are doing a lot better now!

Two in one:
– My naked face.
– My hair before…

… and after. I have been doubting a lot, but as I got quite fed up with my sleek, frizzy hair, I decided I would cut some more layers in it and make it a bit more nonchalant/full of volume.

The best afternoon snack! Pies with ragout!

Picked up this watch, which used to be from my mother (who passed away), after it had gotten new batteries. I love the classical design!

Recommended! We tried this Mongolian Beef recipe from Culy, which was delicious.

In the last personal post, I told you already I am doing an image styling course. Starting with an introduction, I made this collage about myself, in which you see (from beneath upwards):
– My boyfriend (Bas) and a t-shirt with a cat, which represents Arro.
– Drop (great food!), with written ‘french fries’ next to it (even better!).
– My latest discovery and favourite drink: (Starbucks) ice coffee, with written next to it: liquorice tea (I hardly drink anything else at home).
– Amsterdam, the city I love the most.
– Scorpio, my sign of the Zodiac.
– An unsatisfied girl (Carice van Houten), which represents my unsatisfied mentality.
– LINDA., my favourite magazine.
– An article which is about how someone finds the motivation to shoot someone (which is about psychologics, which I love).
– Geraldine, which is the new of my teacher, haha.
– My business card.
– Grazia PC Catwalk, which was the last evenent I went to before I made the collage.
– Fashion items I love: high heels, bright lips, unique styles, oversized glasses.
– A yellow blazer, meaning my love for yellow.
– H&M red pumps, of which I have the same and those are one of my favourites.
– Oversized floppy hats, which were my personal love for the past season.

Me with the ‘gorgeous’ fake glasses during the Brildrager van het jaar verkiezing.

Me with ‘Kees and Kootje’ during the Bas for Zeeman launch.

Me in my Bas Kosters pyjama!
Pictures by me, Saskia van Schaik, Bas Visserman. And 8th picture by Mimi Nizan, 9th picture by Team Peter Stigter.

…what else had passed my life this week?
– Had a look at my sisters highschool Tuesday evening (it’s her first year there), which looked a hundred times better than mine was *feeling a little sad*. I hope she’s going to have the best time of her life their; up untill now she’s really happy.
– Added the latest Grazia (have to read the PC Catwalk report of course!) and Beau Monde’s Leco Special: Leco’s Choice, and the NRC ‘Deluxe’ magazine to my enormous magazine staple. There’s almost nothing as good as reading fashion magazines in bed, before I go to sleep.
– Enjoyed how my little bunny Kraaltje is growing and getting his own character. He’s doing really well!
– Worked on a feature of me on ILFN, where I’ll be showing my closet (just like I did on Girlscene a while ago). Coming up soon!
– How cool is it I’m watching Trinny & Susannah (Wednesday evening on Dutch tv) obligatory at the moment? My image stylist teacher thought it was good to watch their analysis. What a punishment.
– Had to say ‘R.I.P.’ to my CD player. Realising that a CD player is becoming quite nostalgic and that it must have been really old. Still I feel a little sad. Something playing a CD feels like coming home, like going back to my childhood, to a safe place. Am I saying something crazy?
– Freaked out because my grandpa in law had signed me up for a stiletto run. Still doubting whether I’ll do it… My biggest problem is that it’ll ruine my shoes. Is it a good motivation? Any one offering me an old pair, comfortable pair of high heels in size 37/4?
– And of course I worked hard at the content, and everything around it, of my blog again! For example: a streetstyle post from my trip to Stockholm, that’s coming up soon!
