>On Sunday I went to Amsterdam, PC Hooftstraat with my boyfriend. Once a year, Grazia magazine is organising the PC Catwalk. This year -the 4th edition-, they did it with the Fashion and Museum District. Also Wella Professionals and HTC were present, as two sponsors of the event. Presentor of the first edition was the owner and founder of Stacey Records -more well known as jury member of the Dutch X-Factor though- Stacey Rookhuizen.
The PC Catwalk is a 320 metres long one-day catwalk, and a fashion show with the fall/winter collection of various shops in one of the most important shopping streets of the Netherlands.
The edition was called ‘The Accessories Edition’. However, I don’t really know why: I didn’t see extra attention for the accessories to be honest. However, I loved most of the brands showing on this catwalk! Armani was absolutely my favourite with their ultra feminine and chic looks.
The event was accessible for everyone. With this event, Grazia wants to give all kinds of people – everyone- the opportunity to sit frontrow at a professional fashion show. A beautiful idea, which brought a great atmosphere to the PC Hooftstraat.
I took a lot of photos for you, of which I’m showing a selection. In this post, part one, you’ll be seeing the catwalk (looks), and the allround event. Enjoy!

Early arrival in an almost empty PC Hooftstraat, a wet catwalk, and not one used chair.
You could recognize the shops that were participating with their collection on the catwalk via these huge stickers.
I want to say “Many thanks!” to the team from Wella Professionals, who provided me this VIP band. As I’ve been modelling for Wella a few times a while ago, it was a lot of fun seeing some people back during this event.
Thank you for the umbrella! For a long while I thought I wouldn’t need it, but unfortunately we didn’t keep it dry by the end of the afternoon.
Two of the brands that were showing their fall/winter 2011/2012 collections on the catwalk.
The girls from the Grazia Style Hunter Boots – who grabbed anyone who looked fashionable in the PC Hooft and placed them in their boot.
Totally loved the performance of Adlicious, which are known from the Dutch X-Factor. They were a great opening to the show, and they really rocked in real life! I hope they will have their deserved success some day.
I was quite jealous at these girls, haha.
The girls from the VIP-stand.
Time to start the show!
Final!
Two of the nominees for the ‘Style Hunter Award’. The winner was actress Carolien Spoor (the girl behind the colourful lady). You will see her look better in the second Grazia PC Catwalk post, here on this blog- coming up soon. Carolien won a metamorphose worth €1000,-, congratulations!!
