>Daily make-up look – Metallic

Gepost in beauty

>You may have noticed that metallics are quite booming at the moment. Last summer it was really trendy to wear metallic silver pants, a silver or golden collar necklace, or… metallic make-up? I’ll let you judge!

Of course the risky side of metallics is that it can look really trashy. I’m especially a bit doubting about my metallic lips: isn’t it too much? I love to get near the border when it comes to beauty and fashion, and my opinion is that I didn’t cross the border yet this time. Without being arrogant: I don’t think I’ll look trashy very easily.

What do you think?

Eyes:
NYX eyeshadow base, skin tone.
Sleek Molten Metal, shade ‘Gold leaf’.
Teeez! eyeshadow, shade 10: Gutsy.
Catrice Absolute Eye Colour, shade 150: Metallicious
Catrice LE Floralista, eyeliner pencil, shade 01: Morning dew.
Bourjois Khôl & Contour, shade 72: Noir expert.
Essence eyeshadow, shade 02: Dance all night.
Gosh Irresistible Mascara.

I started with the Sleek Molten Metal shade as a base on my eyelid. Then I used the Gutsy shade in my crease to create the depth. I applied the white eye pencil on my lower waterline to create some freshness and used the Catrice mono eyeshadow in my inner eye corner for that extra metallic vibe. Then I applied the Essence mono as a highlighter under my eyebrows, above ‘Gutsy’. The before last thing I used was the kohl pencil on my upper waterline to give my eyes a bit more definition. Complete the look with your favourite mascara!

Cheeks:
Sephora Sun disk bronzing powder, shade 01: Clair light.
Essence powder blush, shade 04: Best friends.

Used the bronzer to shape, and the blush to make my look more human, less robot.

Lips:
Essence LE Metallics, lipstick shade 02: Steel me.

The outfit with this look is coming up next, so stay tuned!
